Beyond Bollywood Festivals

Hey! Is not festival an important part of life? All of ours! Being an Indian, you are well aware that India is a land of culture, tradition and lots and lots of festivals. As it is a secular country, to be precise a country of Hindu, Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Bengalis, Tamils, Marathi, Madrasi, Rajasthani, etc vast number of festivals are celebrated in this country.

Holi looks so cool on screen when Bollywood celebs immerse themselves in the festivals. Same is the case with Ganesh Chaturthi, it is celebrated with much pomp and glamour in reel world. Same goes with Eid, Durga Puja celebrations, janmasthami, navratri, etc. But these stars celebrate these festivals in real life too.

As the entire nation gets involved in the celebration spree of different festivals, b-town biggies too celebrate them with much pomp and glamour. They pay much attention to decorations as well as to their own fashion.

Last year our Lolo, Karishma Kapoor, attended a “Dandiya” programme during the Navratri celebrations at Thane in Mumbai.  She came wearing a simple black coloured embroidered kurti and dangling loose hair.

Vivek Oberoi too celebrated dandiya at the event in simple kurta pyajama. Simple style statement is the mantra of many of the celebs.
