The blend of the Indian traditional dresses worn by the royalties of Rajasthan with the European flora and fauna makes this collection very significant and beautiful.
According to the designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, there is an eclectic taste of luxury in the lifestyle of the royal families and he has tried to capture the essence of that luxury in his collection for spring 2017. He is trying to give a global exposure to the traditionalism and luxurious tastes of Indian royalty through the collection he has designed. To quote him, “while there is global exposure to these iconic people, they are also extremely insular and proud of who they are and where they come from. And this existence of that feral dichotomy to me is the essence of empowered luxury.”
