Lately, Bollywood divas are slaying the red carpet looks around the globe when it comes to experimenting with their gowns. Vogue Women of the Year Awards was no different. Vogue India celebrated its 10th anniversary on September 25 by hosting the star-studded awards night. From Aishwarya Rai to Radhika Apte, every B-town diva graced the red carpet with their immaculate sense of style. The guest list also included Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Karan Johar, Anushka Sharma, Twinkle Khanna, Sonam Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Nita Ambani, Kiran Rao and Aditi Rao Hydari. We are already drooling over their looks for the evening doing rounds on the internet.
But let’s move on from who wore what and have a look at the top 5 best dressed Bollywood women of the evening.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Aishwarya made quite a gala appearance in the embellished and feathered black sheer gown by Faiz Zariwala. The train of her gown, the bell sleeves and her perfect makeup made her look like a dream for the camera.
Moving on from a sheer gorgeousness to awe-inspiring speechlessness – Anushka Sharma in a mauve one-shoulder crystal beaded ensemble by Falguni Shane Peacock, ladies and gentlemen. She accessorized it with Swarovski studs and diamond rings from Aurelle by Leshna Shah. For makeup, she donned lovely smoky eyes, nude lips and a center-parted low ponytail. What’s not to love?
We know it’s time for some serious fashion notes when Sonam enters in her stylish best. For the event, she chose a dazzling and voluminous emerald green gown from Lebanese designer Fouad Sarkia’s Couture 2017 collection. What we love the most about her attire are the asymmetric drapes and balloon-sleeved bolero jacket. She finished the look with bold red lips, short curls and just a pair of diamond and emerald earrings.
Character actor per excellence Radhika Apte attended the event looking stunning as ever in a risqué silver gown by Julien Macdonald. The gown has a bold plunging neckline, thigh-high slit, knotted waist and structured shoulders – 10 on 10. Plus she carried it off with immaculate swag. She opted for smoky eyes, nude lips and simple middle-parted hair with soft curls. To accessorize she just added a pair of silver pumps and a metallic clutch.
Aditi Rao Hydari
What we loved the most about the looks of our Bollywood divas at the Vogue Women of the Year Awards was that they all celebrated the fashion that goes in sync with their sense of style. Aditi Rao Hydari has been making appearances in Indian and fusion wear for quite some time now. Staying true to her style she chose a fish-tailed fuchsia gown by Basil Soda. The embroidery on the full-sleeve gown is a sheer delight to look at. For makeup, she opted for a bright purple pout, defined eyes and middle-parted sleek hair.
